I’m struggling with what shall be my first post. What a time to get writer’s block. I’ve been sitting on the fence about blogging for a while now. Well, two years. Is that a while? I know a lot about writing. People say I write well. Creating an interesting post shouldn’t be this difficult, should it? I blame all those technical proposals I’ve written during the last 15 years for robbing me of my creativity.
I watch my mind as it goes through its priming process.
Back to how do I start this blog? I struggle some more. And then I realized it’s just like going into a room full of people you’ve never met – you introduce yourself.
Hi, I’m Karen and I’m a recovering school administrator. In the course of my recovery work I was serendipitously brought back to an intrigue of mine – hypnosis. Now I’m a clinical hypnotist.
That’s it. Enough ‘me babble’. If you want to know more, you can visit one of my hypnosis websites:
www.stopsmokingsacramento.com; www.sacramentohypnobirthing.com; www.thinkthinnernow.com; or www.infiniteconfidence.com.
I’ll be creating one specifically focusing on the transpersonal side of hypnosis which will include the regression work, past life therapy, informed soul technique, and spirit attachment removal.
This space isn’t about that. This space is a place for me to post personal observations and random thoughts about hypnosis, metaphysics, human behavior and potential, change, the new frontiers of consciousness and the mind, and oh, so much more. Here you will get a dose of everything I’m passionate about. And just to see if you are paying attention, every once in a while, I’ll toss in something from left field.
Sometimes you may agree with me, sometimes not. Sometimes you will be able to point me in a new direction where I can learn something new. I want to hear from you. Anytime and all the time. I can’t wait for the conversations to start! What I do ask is that you respect the space.
In our family we have a saying that warns other family members that young ears are present. It’s “There’s ears in the cornfield.” It means to be respectful with your comments. Debate and constructive criticism is welcome, slander is not. Profanity is not. Basically, please don’t say something here that you wouldn’t say in front of young ears. I appreciate your courtesy in advance.
So there you have it. My little introduction to the blogosphere. If you have questions or comments, please ask. I’m listening.
Until next time my friends,
Karen Rothstein, aka, The Mind Maven
