It is the end of a very long day. I’ve been rushing around getting ready to host Thanksgiving in between seeing clients and conducting follow up to support members of a “Big Push” coaching program I’ve been co-leading with my mentor and friend, Michael Charest. And now, at midnight, amid the sounds of a purring cat, and a dog chasing squirrels in a doggy dream, I finally sit down to catch a moment to myself.

I begin to think about the past year. It’s been a year of closure, and new beginnings. Of letting go and moving on. I’ve become very aware of the various trances I place myself in, without thinking, I slip into the fog. That’s why I like doing a “Big Push”. If you are going all out – like the title implies, there is no time to slip into the fog. On the contrary, you are highly focused – creating an intentional trance around creativity and productivity.

Coming off a “Big Push” is for me a huge relief because doing a “Big Push” is like sprinting in your business. You really go all out to build revenue for 90 days, and then you slow to the finish. Slowing into the holiday season after exerting all this energy towards my business reminds me to really savor each moment of this time of year. I was thinking as I put out the Thanksgiving decor that the “Big Push” is like the harvest. A lot of preparation, combined with hard work, then you reap what you have sown and while the fields lie fallow you celebrate.

This was the second “Big Push” I completed this year and while I fell short of my monetary goal, I gained a huge perspective about who I am, what is important to me at this time in my life, how I want to define myself as business person, and most uniquely….what my business wants of me. That was a very interesting conversation. It was interesting to listen to the energy of my business. As a result there are huge, exciting changes coming in 2011.

Stay tuned. More to follow.

Meanwhile, know that I am ever so grateful to each one of you who helped me fulfill my purpose this year. I know, you came into my office seeking help from me, but really, you were a gift to me, allowing me to exercise my blessing. Through each of you I have been blessed to be of service, and for this I give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Google went wild as the media unveiled the trail of women involved in the Tiger Woods scandal and people began to search for more facts on the Internet. Two weeks later and I’m still hearing newscasters urge viewers to tune in for the “latest details”. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. I’m always saddened by the way in which we put our celebrities under a microscope and expect for them to be perfect. I think it is in poor taste the way in which we use them as the fodder for jokes.

Ahh, the comic relief; in laughing at them, we are indeed laughing at ourselves and our own imperfections, relieved perhaps that we aren’t the only ones stumbling through this act on the stage of life. The fascination we have with the woe’s of the rich and famous is a projection on our part about what we expect from ourselves, and we fanatically follow the fallen, relieved that if they aren’t truly perfect then somehow we, too, must be okay.

However, what I know after conducting hundreds of past-life regressions is: The script Tiger is learning from is no different than the one you or I wrote for ourselves to learn the soul lessons we need to learn in this life. Our life is designed to help us mature spiritually. Courageously, Tiger and many other celebrities like him: Bill Clinton, John Edwards, David Letterman, Brad Pitt, Magic Johnson, determined that it would be in his best growth interest to have his marital indiscretions become public.

Don’t get me wrong. I know he wasn’t consciously sitting at home, or out playing a practice round thinking “It’s time to go public with this.”, but when bad things happen to good people, I have found time, after time, after time, that it was by their design. Under regression to a soul planning state, the interlife, people will report that they chose to experience these dramatic occurances in the interest of learning lessons at a soul level. Rarely is something like this unscripted. Each soul has a plan. Often, the bigger the lesson, the harder the fall.

Experience has taught me that his wife, Elin, has played this theme through with him many times before in various shades. Perhaps in a previous life she played the role of the straying spouse, maybe not to Tiger’s spirit, but to another’s spirit and now Tiger has agreed to step into this role at this time to help her balance her learning. This type of karmic script, often associated with the more dramatic events in life, often involves people who have been involved with us in prior lives.

I can say without a doubt, after supporting 100’s of people in their quest to validate previous existences, that we are all the same life force energy, re-incarnating into the lives we’ve chosen to build and shape our spirit. From a consciousness standpoint, the phases of spirit that we call birth, life and death are only phases that the soul goes through as it transitions from one dimension of existence to another for the sake of development and growth. As Shakespeare suggested in As You Like It:

“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts…”

Perhaps Shakespeare was keenly aware that every human experience is just another lesson in the cosmic classroom.

I’m struggling with what shall be my first post. What a time to get writer’s block. I’ve been sitting on the fence about blogging for a while now. Well, two years. Is that a while? I know a lot about writing. People say I write well. Creating an interesting post shouldn’t be this difficult, should it? I blame all those technical proposals I’ve written during the last 15 years for robbing me of my creativity.

I watch my mind as it goes through its priming process.

Back to how do I start this blog? I struggle some more. And then I realized it’s just like going into a room full of people you’ve never met – you introduce yourself.

Hi, I’m Karen and I’m a recovering school administrator. In the course of my recovery work I was serendipitously brought back to an intrigue of mine – hypnosis. Now I’m a clinical hypnotist.

That’s it. Enough ‘me babble’. If you want to know more, you can visit one of my hypnosis websites:

www.stopsmokingsacramento.com; www.sacramentohypnobirthing.com; www.thinkthinnernow.com; or www.infiniteconfidence.com.

I’ll be creating one specifically focusing on the transpersonal side of hypnosis which will include the regression work, past life therapy, informed soul technique, and spirit attachment removal.

This space isn’t about that. This space is a place for me to post personal observations and random thoughts about hypnosis, metaphysics, human behavior and potential, change, the new frontiers of consciousness and the mind, and oh, so much more. Here you will get a dose of everything I’m passionate about. And just to see if you are paying attention, every once in a while, I’ll toss in something from left field.

Sometimes you may agree with me, sometimes not. Sometimes you will be able to point me in a new direction where I can learn something new. I want to hear from you. Anytime and all the time. I can’t wait for the conversations to start! What I do ask is that you respect the space.

In our family we have a saying that warns other family members that young ears are present. It’s “There’s ears in the cornfield.” It means to be respectful with your comments. Debate and constructive criticism is welcome, slander is not. Profanity is not. Basically, please don’t say something here that you wouldn’t say in front of young ears. I appreciate your courtesy in advance.

So there you have it. My little introduction to the blogosphere. If you have questions or comments, please ask. I’m listening.

Until next time my friends,
